Tips for Oily Skin

Highlighters work great to add flattering dimension to your face but if you have oily skin, keep the shine under control first before moving on to play up your features. Follow these steps:

1. Always, always cleanse skin with a mild cleanser made for oily skin to remove oil so you start on a clean slate. (once a week, remember to use scrub too to remove dead skin and dislodge dirt and accumulated sebum sitting inside your pores.

2. Use a lightweight moisturizer and don’t skip the sunblock just because you fear getting a heavy, greasy feeling. The new generation of smart sunblock offer light texture but provide a high level SPF.

3. Once you’re done applying the make-up together with the highlighter, give your skin a smooth finish with loose swept over your face using a powder brush with a light hand.

4. During the day, lift oil that appears on skin with blotting paper. It contains translucent powder which soaks up excess oil while keeping your skin matte.
